Yahoo announced some big new plans to move into the mobile phone market, and make more of an impact.

The first big announcement from Yahoo is a brand new social networking app for the iPhone.

The service is known as oneConnect, and is a social address service.

The idea behind the service is to link up a cell phone contacts list with that of the contacts in a social network.

This new service is going to be made available first on the iPod Touch and the iPhone.

All of the contacts of users will now be in one applications.

This will make it easier to text, e-mail, IM, etc.  It will be updated by checking in on social-networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

On top of that, Yahoo is also expanding in the mobile phone market by expanding a new development language.

This is aimed to help developers easily develop applications for mobile phones, and is known as Blueprint.

Yahoo continues to battle with Google in the mobile market, in search, platforms, apps, etc.
