Boston (dbTechno) - It is going to be a big day for Amgen Inc. as they are set to reveal the study which was on their osteoporosis drug candidate, denosumab.
Amgen Inc. is expected to release the study shortly after the market opens up on Tuesday, and should give the company a big boost overall.
The study is going to reveal just how effective their osteoporosis drug candidate really is.
Th etrial to be presented today is a three-year, Phase 3 pivotal fracture trial of approximately 7,800 women, comparing denosumab with a placebo.
Amgen Inc. put out a different study on Monday, which was seen more as a preview.
That particular study revealed that women who made the switch from Fosamax over to denosumab saw an increase in their bone density.
Needless to say, it should be a huge day for Amgen Inc., and could also be a big day for those suffering from osteoporosis.
