Plastic Logic seems to have outdone Amazon with their new e-book reader that was unveiled at the ongoing DEMO technology convention. Looking much more desirable than Amazon’s Kindle, the plastic e-book reader is able to display different media types including newspapers, e-books, magazines and PDF files. It won’t weigh you down (tips the scales in mere ounces) and has a battery life that lasts up to several days. The display itself is easily readable under bright sunlight, making this sound like a dream come true. It won’t hit retail stores in time for the frenzied Christmas season though, but it is expected to be available to the masses early next year.
